Also known as:
Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, that’s her real name, her stage name – Halsey – is an anagram of Ashley.
Not to be confused with:
Ellie Goulding. Her music style is often compared to Ellie’s but we find Halsey’s music just as unique and original.
Promoting her first album ‘Badlands’ which can be described as a ‘unique alternative pop album with a twist of dark electronica’.
Her blue hair (maybe because she reminds us of Emma from Blue is the Warmest Colour) but her bi-racial background (Italian-American mother and African-American father) makes her all the more beautiful, not to mention her impressive set of pipes.
Most likely to:
Have you swaying to her dark and haunting, yet strangely mesmerising ballads
Least likely to:
Hold back when talking about mental illness and her own bipolar disorder. On second thought, she’s less likely to hold back on anything.
Is she a sista?
Halsey claims to be ‘tri-bi’, meaning bi-racial, bisexual and bipolar.
Seductive voice, eyes and smile? We can’t even put a price on that.
Less words and more hugs. Halsey is known for giving her fans the attention they deserve, we are talking big hugs, proper conversations and jokes all out on the table, so when you see her, give her a hug from us.
There isn’t much you can’t talk about with Halsey. Her openness is what’s making her so popular among such a wide audience but maybe don’t mention acts she constantly gets compares to like Ellie Goulding, Lorde and Lana Del Rey. Halsey is her own blend of magic and we are loving her.
Check out her video for ‘Ghost’ below that captures a love affair between two women set in Japan.
