Where Are All The Lesbians?
Is the decline in lesbian bars and clubs because they are falling for clichés and stereotypes, rather than offering great service?
Where have all the lesbians gone…?
Rolla Selbak – Kiss Her I’m Famous
Rolla Selbak is an award winning filmmaker and self confessed triple-minority in the film-making world – she’s queer, Arab-American and a woman.
If that’s not enough, she’s also a self taught auteur writing, directing and producing films that matter.
She sat with us to chat about her work, receiving death threats and Oprah (my doing clearly)…
Mae Martin’s Slumber Party
Mae Martin is funny.
Which is handy considering she’s a comedian.
(Boom Tish – is that not the most awkward opening ever?)
To prove just how funny she was, I went on a YouTube quest to ‘research’ (some call it stalking) what Mae Martin was really about.
And bloody hell, she’s talented.
She’s funny, witty, Canadian (you can’t hate a Canadian) and she can also play the guitar and she sings.
Which is more than I can do, I can barely walk and talk… that’s not a meek attempt at humour, that is a fact.
Bec & Sebastian – The Voice Australia
Bec and Sebastian came to our attention with their acoustic rendition of Jessie J’s hit song ‘Price Tag’.
Apart from being ridiculously talented, they’re also super cool – so cool that Ricky Martin picked them to be in his group on The Voice Australia.

DJs of Brighton Pride – Amy B
You would have seen our Brighton Pride take over on the blog home page and if you haven’t, what on earth are you waiting for?
And because we’re so excited to be a part of it, we rounded up a series of the girls providing the tunes.

But who wants to wait for shortly? Here’s a teaser…
Stephanie and Katherine Met on GaydarGirls
I messaged Katherine first, I tried to be funny – she told me some time later she could decide if I was being funny or rude! But she messaged back anyway (thank goodness!).
Katherine’s profile, unlike a lot on GaydarGirls (tsk, tsk girls…), was actually filled out in full, so I read through her profile and found we had some common ground.
We Found Love on GaydarGirls…
We hear plenty of heart-warming stories about lucky girls who have found their matches on GaydarGirls.

GaydarGirls chats to Lauren Bedford Russell Part 1
When you mention ‘reality TV’ to most people, you see the subtle cringe from the mention.
Admittedly, I understand that feeling, having mocked more than one reality TV star in my time… mostly those staged reality TV shows that start with “Made in…” Not all reality TV stars are like that, however. Well not, Lauren Bedford Russell one of the stars on the The Real L Word.
Listen to the Podcast.
Gaby Dunn On The Invisibility Bisexuals Face…
Gaby Dunn writer, comedian, journalist and openly bisexual talks to us at GaydarGirls about the invisibility that bisexual women face. Even to other gay people, bisexuals just don’t exist. So why the bisexualphobia?
Listen to our first ever GaydarGirls podcast as we discuss bisexuality.

Well, we’re here to help… As for the rest of the world take note, in case you find yourself in this situation in May. Some do’s and some avoids…
A Hero In Me, Jenny Biddle – Album Review
If you’re not familiar with Jenny Biddle it’s because she’s a modest and understated musician.
Far from a self promoter, she believes in hard work so much so that she plays well over 200 gigs a year and suffers from chronic ‘guitar elbow’ from belting her suite of guitars (all who have names) on a daily basis. Read the album review and get two FREE songs from her album.
It’s more than just a blog…
I’ll save you the eye-rolling because let’s face it – we’ve seen that all before. Yawn, yawn, yawn. But what I do want to do is share in the excitement of what creating this blog means for us and personally, for me… READ MORE
